    AvaTrade Account Types

There are a variety of AvaTrade account types available for you use. There should be something to fit the needs of every type of trader. Here are some more details on each type of account you can look forward to exploring when you open your account.

    General information

Some general information before we describe each account type. When trading with AvaTrade, you can trust that every account type has fixed spreads. You can also trade mini or micro lots, and you will always have access to the MT4 trading platform and the AvaTrade GO mobile platform. This will apply regardless of which account type you select

    Demo account

An AvaTrade demo account is the best place you can start in order to learn about the offerings of the broker. This applies to any top forex broker who you may be dealing with. A typical AvaTrade demo account will be available with every trading platform and remain valid for a period of 21-days for your use. The Duplitrade platform allows for 30-days of demo use.

The AvaTrade demo account comes available with all the features which you would also find with most of the AvaTrade live accounts with the exception of VIP & professional account types. Overall, the AvaTrade demo account is a fantastic place to sample all of the features and learn more about the broker.

    Retail account

The logical next step once you have tested out an AvaTrade demo account will be to open an AvaTrade retail account. This is basically the EU variety of AvaTrade standard account commonly used by most traders. The AvaTrade retail account provides for a leverage of 30:1 which is the maximum allowed under ESMA regulations within Europe.

A negative balance protection and risk warnings are also in place for your protection while trading. This also helps ensure your balance cannot become negative through the use of leverage. A dispute settlement service is also available.

    Professional account

Professional traders need professional accounts and benefits. This is what you can rely on through an AvaTrade professional account. As an EU trader, if you meet certain requirements in terms of volume and trading frequency, you can apply to have your retail account upgraded to professional. This upgrade comes with a host of benefits including access to leverage of as much as 400:1 as a professional trader.

You will also be able to avail of PAMM/MAM account management features. As a professional client, you will not receive risk warnings or a dispute resolution service.

    Spread betting account

Maybe you are interested in AvaTrade spread betting options. This can be seen as a rather risky form of all or nothing style trading, but it is available through the broker if you wish to try it. AvaTrade spread betting is available only to EU based traders.

    Standard account

The AvaTrade standard account is available to international traders who are not from the EU. This is the only variant of a “regular” account which you can choose with AvaTrade as an international user. The AvaTrade standard account allows for a maximum leverage of 400:1 in certain major markets.

    Secondary AvaTrade Accounts

If you have not found anything to satisfy your requirement within the major base level AvaTrade accounts, perhaps you need something a little more targeted. In that case, there are an extra layer of accounts available to both EU and international traders.

    VIP account

The AvaTrade VIP account makes lower spreads available if you are a high volume, premium level trader. These depend on the level of your deposit. Upwards of a 10,000 Euro deposit will qualify you for an AvaTrade VIP account.

    Crypto account

Crypto trading has become a major part of modern day trading. AvaTrade cryptocurrency trading is also available thanks to the AvaTrade crypto account. This allows trading in the major cryptos: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple as well as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, and EOS are the cryptos available in AvaTrade. Trading in AvaTrade cryptocurrency is available through the MT4 platform and is not available for holders of an Islamic account.

The availability of Islamic accounts is an important feature of any broker if you are following the principles of Shariah law. The features are largely the same as standard accounts with just a few points to note: AvaTrade cryptocurrency trading is unavailable, and rollovers may occur on exotic pairs.

Aside from those points, the AvaTrade Islamic account functions great and you can access it by contacting support. AvaTrade Islamic accounts are usually approved within 1-2 days.

    Options account

This account as we mentioned above, is available through the Ava Options trading platform with a 30-day demo account. The account itself is perfect if you are wishing to begin options trading through AvaTrade. If you want to know more about options trading, you can also benefit from the free educational infrastructure made available by AvaTrade.

    Corporate account

If you have a company which you are registered as to trade under, then it stands to reason that you may wish to have an AvaTrade corporate account. This account type allows you the same benefits and excellent features of opening an AvaTrade account, just under your business name.

    Partner account

An AvaPartner account is available for anyone who may be seeking to work as a broker affiliate in referring friends or clients to trade with AvaTrade. If you have an interested network, it could be a great way to supplement your earnings.

These types of managed accounts can be beneficial in sometimes allowing you to take a more hands off approach when trading. These account types are available through AvaTrade, but only to holders of professional accounts.
