eToro Broadens Investment Offering to Include US Stocks and ETFs
- Company to meet growing US demand for diversification
- Fractional stocks, ETFs, and cryptoassets all available.
Leading social investment network eToro announced this week that the company will expand its offering in the United States. This will add new US stocks and ETFs alongside a number of cryptoassets that US-based customers will be able to trade. Users will also be able to further diversify their holdings by combining stock and cryptoassets within one portfolio.
This move into a very popular market segment will also provide traders the opportunity to trade in fractional stocks.
eToro US CEO Lule Demmissie commented, “For many new investors, crypto investing is a gateway to investing in stocks – and with broader access to financial education and fewer barriers to entry for first-time investors, we expect this trend to continue. As we continue to expand our offering in one of the world’s most important financial markets, we look forward to empowering U.S. users to expand their investing journey on the eToro platform and interact with our social community in new ways.”
Diversified Portfolios Combined With Accessibility
eToro also highlighted the importance of a diversified portfolio, something that its US customers now have an increased opportunity to develop with this expanded asset offering.
“The launch of stock investing in the United States empowers eToro’s millions of U.S. retail investors to manage a portfolio of diversified investments that include traditional assets and cryptoassets side-by-side in a single, easy-to-use mobile app or desktop interface.” the company commented in a recent press release.
